Artists in the schools program

art in education!

The Arts Council has been busy planning and preparing for our exciting new Artists in the Schools Program.  With funding from the California Arts Council's State and Local Partnership Program and Community Foundation for San Benito County, we are poised and ready to launch this artistically fun and diverse program for San Benito County Elementary Schools.  Focusing on 8th grade history, our artists will bring history lessons  to life using three art disciplines and State standard art curriculum to teach art history in the classrooms.  Gabilan Hills Elementary and Sacred Heart Parish Schools are the pilot schools for this 12-week series.

It is our goal to include  more schools and grades in the near future and expand on the curriculum.   If you want to learn more about our Artists in the Schools Program, volunteer or give to support this important program,  please contact us.  We want to hear from you!
