The streets of downtown Hollister are currently undergoing a spectacular transformation. As part of our inaugural Visión Art Fest (VAF), five new murals are officially in progress, turning the city into a living, breathing canvas.
Supported by the California Arts Council and the generosity of private donors, Visión Art Fest was designed to bolster our creative economy while beautifying our beloved city. The festival is more than just paint on walls; it’s a two-week installation process meant to create a lasting legacy of public art that resonates with the people of Hollister.
The festival features a talented group of California-based muralists and artist collectives, selected through a competitive statewide Call for Artists earlier this year. Each artist brings a unique perspective and signature style to the downtown area:

The murals are currently taking shape and will continue to evolve through September 7th. If you’re in town, we invite you to come witness the creative process firsthand—especially during upcoming farmers markets! It’s a rare opportunity to see these artists transform our walls from blank spaces into vibrant storytelling tools.
For those eager to follow along or visit the sites, keep an eye on our website at sanbenitoarts.org or follow us on social media @sanbenitoarts_ for location maps and real-time updates.
Join us in celebrating the power of public art and helping us create a more distinctive community identity in the heart of Hollister!
