The San Benito County Arts Council is excited to announce the return of the San Benito County Open Studios Art Tour and inaugural Emerging Artist Group Show & Market scheduled to take place in May 2026.
For over a decade, the San Benito County Arts Council has hosted the annual Open Studios Art Tour, a self-guided tour of artists’ studios throughout San Benito County. The tour features local artists and artisans with works in painting, photography, pottery and ceramics, stained-glass, jewelry, and more and is a great way for locals and visitors to meet the artists, learn more about the processes of artmaking and view and purchase original works of art.
This year’s tour will take place on Saturday-Sunday May 16th & 17th from 11 am- 4 pm at artists’ studios throughout the county. Visitors are encouraged to download the artist directory and map at www.sanbenitoarts.org. Viewers may also get a sneak peak of the artists’ work by visiting the Open Studios Preview Exhibition at Art Depot at 35 5th St. in downtown Hollister. Open gallery hours take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 am- 3 pm and every Friday from 5-7 pm from April 6th-May 8th.
The Emerging Artists Group Show, a new addition to Open Studios, is a an opportunity for emerging artists and makers of all kinds to showcase and sell their work at an outdoor and indoor artist market at the Arts Council’s Art Depot in downtown Hollister. Visitors may stop by during the art tour weekend, May 16th-17th, to support our local emerging artist community and view and purchase great works of art.
