The San Benito County Arts Council has been following the COVID19 outbreak and response closely. We made the difficult decision earlier in the week to cancel our Open Studios Kick Off Party (please read the announcement HERE) and, based on updated guidelines released yesterday from Governor Gavin Newsom, will be canceling after school art programs at the ANNEX through March 27th.
Our Executive Board has been convening virtually to discuss and address issues related to our staff, teaching artists, artist members and students, and we stand committed to protecting the most vulnerable members in our community.
If you are an artist, arts organization or nonprofit affected by COVID19, please click here to access links to resources and tools for emergency preparedness. The California Arts Council has also released an Arts Field Survey to gather data on the impact of COVID19 on the arts. Please fill it out as it helps the state determine how best to serve our field.
